Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)
At Dendy Village Dental in Brighton, we welcome inquiries about the Government’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule (or CDBS). This initiative assists with basic dental care to promote healthy smiles in children.
Your child may be able to access up to $1,026 of dental services over two years with no out of the pocket expense. The services are simply bulk billed through Medicare. The types of services covered by the schedule include:
- Teeth cleaning
- Fissure sealing
- Dental fillings
- Root canals
- Tooth extractions.
The schedule does not cover orthodontic or cosmetic dentistry.
Who is eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) ?
Eligible children are 0-17 years of age who currently receive Family Tax Benefit A or other relevant Australian Government payments such as Youth Allowance, ABSTUDY, Disability Support Pension, Parenting Payment Special Benefit, Carer Payment, Double Orphan Pension, Veteran’s Children Education Scheme, if the child is 16 or over Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act Education and Training Scheme (if the child is 16-17 years of age).
